They say practice makes perfect. Well, if that’s true then I must be somewhat of an expert on installing Wordpress, that beloved and ubiquitous blogging platform. Countless times I have worked up the gumption to set up the database and upload all the files only to have my inspiration fizzle out in the theme development process. Not wanting to use a theme made by someone else (I am a web designer for Christ’s sake, right?) I have traditionally given up sparing the world of my pointless and narcissistic ramblings. Well, not anymore. Somewhere along the line this time around I passed a point of no return. I wish I knew when that point was as it would probably provide some insight into my creative process, but not to dwell on that I will simply say that now this must get finished.

The next thing to worry about is whether or not I will stay faithful to this installation, but my decision to brand it as my main online presence was my way of tricking myself into keeping up with it. As they say: Time will tell.
